There are a lot of things in life that can be prevented — unfortunately, aging is not one of them. While there are some ways to curb the speed of aging, the best methods to treat or handle it are not always achievable at home. Because of this, Formula Wellness is proud to carry Dysport as a way to treat dynamic wrinkles, such as crow’s feet, frown lines, and more.
Dysport, which temporarily reduces muscle activity, smooths the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles that are frequently caused by repeated muscle contraction, such as smiling or frowning. To learn more about what Dysport can do for you, call or visit Formula Wellness, located in Dallas.
What Is It?
Dysport is made from botulinum neurotoxin, a neuromuscular blocking agent. Dysport blocks the signals from the nerves telling muscles in the face to contract, which, in turn, causes the muscles to relax and smooths wrinkles. Because of repeated movements, like smiling and frowning, creases can deepen significantly — but one of the benefits to Dysport is that you will not lose expressiveness in the treated areas, meaning that Dysport will not make you look like you can’t move your face, frown, or smile.
What Can I Expect?
Dysport is a popular BOTOX competitor, but the biggest difference is that patients often notice a faster onset of result with DYSPORT. The treatment sessions are quick and can target specific areas with dynamic wrinkles that you would like to focus on. Results may begin to appear within a week following the treatment, and they may last around three to four months per treatment. Patients may experience certain side effects, such as redness, swelling in the treated area, or bruising or discomfort at the injection site.
Am I a Candidate?
If you struggle with the dynamic wrinkles that appear on your face, you may be the perfect candidate for Dysport. It is important that patients have realistic expectations when it comes to undergoing the treatment, however, because results may differ by patient as everyone is different.
